Giving it that old college try...

Jump Start....

They say that the third time is the charm.  So here we go, again.  I've tried to jumpstart my blog the last two years and have failed miserably.  My only excuse is when the school year starts, my time becomes limited.  I have 150 followers that are waiting, I hope, to hear from me.

So what have I been doing?

Our grandson is still living with us.  It will be two years this October, but he is a sweetie and we wouldn't have it any other way.

He loves being with his Grandpa - and watching Might Machines on Netflix is a definite must do activity.

I had a hysterectomy on May 31 and recovery is going very well.  It is amazing how far medicine has come.  Robotic surgery is amazing.

Sewing is happening.  My current project is Hawk's Nest by Bonnie Hunter from her book Scraps and Shirttails II.  Like I need another project... but it is fun to dig out fabrics and cut.  For this project I need 942 half square triangles; amazingly I had 1300  bonus triangles in a drawer so the bulk of this project is already completed.

Hopefully I can make this jump start work.  I have enjoyed blogging in the past.  Sometimes I think Facebook has taken over the place blogging held in many peoples' lives.

Have a great day!

Nancy

Glad to see your post! I love all Bonnie Hunter quilts!! Love the fabrics you have chosen for yours and hope you will continue to posts pictures and writing of your progress. I am finding that more quilters are posting on Instagram than writing blog posts these days. I love seeing the pictures, but miss reading about the process of making the quilts.

Welcome back!

I have to agree with Panto Pam's comment about Instagram. I enjoy reading the process too and getting to know the blogger a bit on a personal level, which is more likely to happen on the blogs. So glad to read your post this morning. Keep that recovery going!
