Ok, break time is over....

Howdy all... I've taken my leisurely break from blogging and I know I need to get back to it.  So much has been happening this summer and we have traveled more this summer than we have in the past.  Taking kids here and there, taking a vacation (just hubby and me... so does that count as a second honeymoon?), and getting caught up on quilting.

I have an urge to try my hand at crochet.  And of course I never start with anything easy.  I want to try and make washclothes with crochet cotton.  And then I found this:

There is a tutorial at Once Upon a Pink Moon.   They would look so lovely in the sewing room.  Just what I need, another thing on my list.

With all of the traveling I have been busy working on my half-inch hexagons in the car.  Slowly but surely this is getting bigger and bigger and I'm wondering when it will be too much to work with while riding in the front seat.

The trip to Vermont allowed me to bring home my grandmother's treadle.  My sister no longer wanted it.  So now it is in the basement waiting for hubby to clean up and get it working.

Thank you all for being patient.  I just wasn't feeling like I had anything to say that didn't have to do with school and teaching - and that subject usually ends up with a negative twist.

So I hope everyone is enjoying their quilting time.  See you soon!

Glad you are back, sort of, now I want to make the curtains too. Like I need another project. Keep sharing. I will learn that I don't need to make everything.

Love that curtain! My studio window is small so I could actually make it in a weekend. I love to crochet at night.

Welcome back!
