I actually finished something!!!

Thanks to my friend Donna and her APQS Millenium, I have finished my daughter, Beth's, Mousie quilt.

I found the fabric about three years ago at Joanns and never really decided what pattern to do until the end of last summer. Then between fall retreat and Christmas break I was able to get the top done. Donna finished it during the first snow storm last weekend and thanks to the blizzard (and three days off from school) I was able to take some time to cut, sew, and stitch binding.

We call this Beth's first 'big girl' quilt.... she outgrew all of her other quilts. She isn't quite sure what to do with a quilt that is actually longer than she is.

Quilty Hugs!,

Gosh, that quilt is amazing! I found myself trying to find two patches that are identical---ya know, kinda like those kid activities of "which of these pictures are the same and which is different?"
I LOVE just looking from patch to patch (and so does Caitlyn next to me).

Great to see a quilty finish from you :0)

Yea for you! It must feel great to get a finish in after all the hard work you've been putting in at work. I guess blizzards can be good after all.

Love it! What is that pattern called?
I'm going to miss guild tomorrow! But I'm supposed to have my first Viking class in the AM so that's something to look forward to!

Good job Nancy! You've been so busy at work, I bet it feels good to be able to sew. That's one UFO off your list! I've finished my January and February thanks to you! I'm now working on a QuiltForKids quilt and it it going pretty quickly. Maybe, I'll get that one done this month too. I was off Friday due to the snow but I cleaned instead of sewing. At least, I can find my sewing room now....hugs from snowy Texas. Linda

What a perky quilt...I like it! Gotta love the *snow days* off from school, great for projects needing attention! Of course I can say that because I am at our school year round...one day to make up here or there just doesn't matter for me! Others get grumpy with the extra days to make up! Have a great day...more snow predicted for tonight!

I think you have done a colossal task.the bits are small and too many of them to join up to finish the blanket.
