I don't think I can be of any help here, my washer and dryer are both 25 years old...I am waiting for them to quit...been waiting for a long time. I want a set of those front loading ones with the drawers underneath. By the way mine are Maytag...I think I should be on a commercial for how long they last and get a new set for free! Good luck and keep us informed as to what you get!
That picture is so funny...did you happen to take a picture of me when I got up this morning...it wasn't very nice of you to post it...heheeee
I'm afraid I'm of no help whatsoever cuz I could use a new one myself! I'll be anxious to see what you choose. Ohhhh and LOL at that kittie! She looks like me today (LOL)
In a word: MieleGranted I have a stacking front loader & we "only" bought it because it was one of the narrowest full sized washers on the market.Granite counters and a wall limited our choices substantially & ours are stacking so you may actually have more space that us!Anyway, we have been very satisfied & I think that if they had a narrow front loader (That does not have to be stacked - officially - we have the cover so if we ever move with the washer & dryer we could have then unstacked) they probably have a narrow top loader as well.
We have a Maytag Heavy Duty something-er-other. LOVE the over-size capacity (with one big/TALL husband and three growing girls---it's ALWAYS full!!!)AND, that pic got lots of giggles from three lil' girls up here :0)
I presently own a Fisher/Paykel top loader. I wouldn't buy another. It is okay but there are lots of things I don't like about it. The very best machine I have owned in 46 years of marriage is the one I had prior - a stackable Maytag unit. It was wonderful. I traded because I wanted the top loading dryer, which I DO LOVE! The washer is adequate but the Maytag could take anything I handed it and I had it close to 20 years and then donated it to Salvation Army so hopefully someone else is enjoying it now.
