Which Bloglist service do you use?

I have bloglines loaded onto the lap top. I like it, but I get frustrated when it only shows me partial posts for some blogs and full posts for others. I keep adding to my blog list (up to 153) and I want to make sure I visit each and everyone of you when you post.

So, I'd like to hear from you all and find out how you keep track of the blogs you follow. Can I just transfer my list if I change? Having to go through and manually load each and everyone will be a pain...... but I'll do it if I have to........... I don't want to miss out on anything.

Thank you for your input. Have a great quilty day!

WOW!! Thank you all so much for commenting ............... I have definitely learned something today. I'll just keep clicking on posts and opening up blogs. I always find a new blog to explore that way. Quilty Hugs!

I use Google Reader but it does the same thing. I think it's a function of the blog writer. I think the feed can be set up by the blog owner to send all or part.....but I'm not sure, I jsut assumed that was the issue.

I was using Bloglines exclusively but I started adding them to my sidebar using Blogger's list in our layout features. They also are listed in Google Reader, I think but I never go there to read them. The partial posts on Bloglines is determined by the choice of settings by the bloggers.

I started with bloglines. I've switched to Google Reader bacause posts are easier to read via my black berry. You can export all of your subscriptions to google reader pretty painlessly.
Now for the 1/2 posts its not the readers fault. There is a setting on each persons blog where they must choose full feed or partial feed. Unless you know that option exists you'd probably never switch it over to full feed. Also, people who have ads that make money per visit will only allow partial feed as a way to get people to cisit their actual site.

Ah, good info in the comments. I use google reader. One thing I like about it is I can see how many readers subscribe to the blog. For instance, my little blog has 24 readers. (OOOhhh thanks everyone!) But, I too am frustrated about certain blogs that only show partial feeds. (EQ comes to mind which might be because they sell things...) I've done a much better job keeping up with blogs with this feature. My subscription list is a puny 52 -- I may need to pump it up a bit. But, would I ever have time to quilt???

I have been using Google Reader for a while. Love it - if the post is only partial, it's a quick click to get to the full version, so it doesn't really bother me. I can easily add and manage all the blogs I read. I would recommend it. Kate in Capalaba, Queensland, Australia

I would like to know the answer to this also...I have so many blogs on my blog as favorites and blogs in my favorites on the laptop...

Google Reader for me, too.

As others have said, the partial post is due to the choices the blog owner, not the RSS reader.

I use Bloglines and love it. Everyone else is right - it is the option of the blog author to determine how much of their entry they want showing in blog readers.

I use bloglines, but would really like to find a way in which i can be notified a favorite blog has been updated so I can click on it and go into the site. I really love reading blogs from the owner's site as they are colorful and personalized. In Blogger all we see is black on white. Any suggestions as to how I may achieve this?

The way bloglines shows the posts is up to the blogger... (It is in the blogger set-up.)
