17 inches

This is my daughter, Beth....... the youngest of my three girls; 1/2 of the twins. Two years ago she decided to let her hair grow long enough to get a good cut to donate to Locks of Love.

Today was the day. 17 inches later.............. and here we are. I was a little teary to see it go, but knowing that my daughter wanted to help a total stranger by donating her hair...... well, I guess her Daddy and I raised her right.

Nancy, thank your daughter for me. My friends daughter Kaycey is a neuroblastoma survivor and has a wig from locks of love.

Good job, Mom & Dad!! I am sure your daughter was torn between holding on and letting it go!

My oldest granddaughter (10) is growing her hair out now for Locks of Love. She probably has another couple of years before it will be long enough but it certainly is an admirable goal.

What an awesome thing to do...give her a big high five for me.

Two of my 7 have done this as well as myself. It is a great gift to give.

Your daughter is obviously a very loving and caring young lady...I say "thank you" to her! I have a friend that is very grateful to "Locks of Love", and her daughter returned the gift by growing her hair to donate...very touching!
